Section 5 – Social Work in Uncertain International Context

Social work in 21st century faces challenges in form of increasing number of people threatened by poverty, massive intra and international migration, the rise of extremism, critical unemployment of young people, ageing of population etc. Despite the predominantly national character of social work, more attention should be paid to issues which extend beyond boundaries of only one state. Moreover, cooperation and coordination is necessary for finding the right solutions and for progress in international social work. The aim of talks and subsequent discussion will be the search for possible ways of mutual inspiration on international level. This section will be held in English.
